Property in this area is mainly residential with prices being
higher the higher up on the Helderberg Mountain (with the
better view) you are. Prices of property backing the Helderberg
Nature Reserve start at around ZAR 14 million for large estate
houses with 6-8 bedrooms and 3-6 living areas on large grounds.
As you descend into the valley into areas like Heldervue,
Schoongelegen, Montclair, prices level out at ZAR 2 million
– ZAR 6 million for a 4/5 bedroom home, still with spectacular
views.
Erinvale Golf Estate, nest to the Helderberg Nature Reserve,
has properties ranging from ZAR 6 million – ZAR 11 million
for a 3/6 bedroom property on the course. Belaire Wine lands
security estate is also popular with prices ranging between
ZAR 4 million – ZAR 8 million. In the older, more established
areas of Somerset West large 3/4 bedroom houses are available
for ZAR 1.9 million (needing a lot of work - ZAR 3.1million
in good condition.
There are many upmarket security estates built and being developed
in the range of ZAR 1.9 million - ZAR 3.9 million at the foot
of the mountain. The closer you get to the N2 and Somerset

To be found on the shores of False Bay, is the Strand with

The Strand also has its own Golf course estate – Greenways.
Property in this estate ranges from ZAR 4.7 million (4/5 bed,
2/3 bath) to ZAR 2.7 million (3 bed, 3 bath)
The older homes closer to the N2 and Broadway are to be found
in the region of ZAR 900 000 – ZAR 1.9 million offering
3/4 bedrooms. The older cluster or townhouse around the ZAR
800 000 – ZAR 950 000 mark. There is a lot of development
on the way to Gordon’s Bay – the townhouses and
clusters are on the market for ZAR 400 000 (2 bed, 1 bath)
