Pringle Bay Property

A quiet coastal village in the heart of a UNESCO World Nature Reserve. The area is also renowned for its Indigenous Fynbos Flora and houses more plant species per m² than anywhere else on the planet.
Pringle Bay is also famous for being part of the whale watching festival from June to December.

Betty's Bay Property

Home to the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens for fynbos. This sleepy little coastal village is 96km from Cape Town and is squeezed in between the sea and the Kogelberg Mountains. Property is made up mainly of holiday homes and self catering bungalows, with a few permanent residents.

Somerset West Property
Somerset West has always been popular as a residential area due to its access into Cape Town City Centre along the N2. The town was named after Lord Charles Somerset in 1819 and is set at the foot of the Hottentots-Holland Mountains. There are many historic buildings and landmarks including Coachman’s Cottage, Ou Nederduitse Gereformeerde Kerk, Lourens River Bridge, Pigeon House, The Police Station, Magistrate’s Court and Spook Hill!

Property in this area is mainly residential with prices being higher the higher up on the Helderberg Mountain (with the better view) you are. Prices of property backing the Helderberg Nature Reserve start at around ZAR 14 million for large estate houses with 6-8 bedrooms and 3-6 living areas on large grounds. As you descend into the valley into areas like Heldervue, Schoongelegen, Montclair, prices level out at ZAR 2 million – ZAR 6 million for a 4/5 bedroom home, still with spectacular views.

Erinvale Golf Estate, nest to the Helderberg Nature Reserve, has properties ranging from ZAR 6 million – ZAR 11 million for a 3/6 bedroom property on the course. Belaire Wine lands security estate is also popular with prices ranging between ZAR 4 million – ZAR 8 million. In the older, more established areas of Somerset West large 3/4 bedroom houses are available for ZAR 1.9 million (needing a lot of work - ZAR 3.1million in good condition.
There are many upmarket security estates built and being developed in the range of ZAR 1.9 million - ZAR 3.9 million at the foot of the mountain. The closer you get to the N2 and Somerset Mall the lower the cost of property – ZAR 1.2 million – ZAR 1.9 million.

A 2 bed townhouse in the village can go for as little as ZAR 800 000.00 with small stands in the region of ZAR 650 000.00

Strand Property
To be found on the shores of False Bay, is the Strand with its long white beaches and holiday atmosphere.

The old homes along the beach front have made way for towering blocks of apartments with outstanding views of False Bay. You can pay from ZAR 6 million for a 3 bed, 2 bath penthouse to a ZAR 2.1 million for a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment along the beach front.

A block away from the beach front prices are considerably lower for the same accommodation – ZAR 1.2 – ZAR 1.9 million. House prices in this area range from ZAR 3.9 million for a 3/4 bed to ZAR 2.1million.

The Strand also has its own Golf course estate – Greenways. Property in this estate ranges from ZAR 4.7 million (4/5 bed, 2/3 bath) to ZAR 2.7 million (3 bed, 3 bath)

The older homes closer to the N2 and Broadway are to be found in the region of ZAR 900 000 – ZAR 1.9 million offering 3/4 bedrooms. The older cluster or townhouse around the ZAR 800 000 – ZAR 950 000 mark. There is a lot of development on the way to Gordon’s Bay – the townhouses and clusters are on the market for ZAR 400 000 (2 bed, 1 bath) – ZAR 850 000 depending on the development and the finishes offered.

Gordon's Bay Property
Named after Captain Robert Gordon of the Dutch East India Company, this beautiful town is nestled in a cove in False Bay with stunning views.

  • Whale Watching : June – December

Unlike the flat land of the Strand, Gordon’s Bay has beautiful homes on the mountain below the Steenbras dam, with magnificent views of False Bay. These can range in price from ZAR 3.8 million slightly lower down, above the harbour (4 bed, 3 bath) to ZAR 12.8 million at the highest development point. (6/7 bed, 5/6 bath)

Houses and B&B’s closer to the beach (within walking distance) can range from ZAR 1.6 million to ZAR 4.1 million depending on accommodation and B&B potential.

Marina and waterfront apartments start at ZAR 1.8 million for a 2 bed, 2 bath and can go to ZAR 2.9 million for a penthouse 2 bed, 2 bath.

Harbour Island at the boat angling club of Gordon’s Bay has a large offering of properties from ZAR 1.8 million (2 bed, 2 bath) – ZAR 4.2 million (4 bed, 3 bath)

Townhouses in the popular residential areas are priced at ZAR 1.4 – ZAR 1.7 million.
Closer to the Strand and a little inland are many cluster and apartment developments ranging in price from ZAR 340 000 (1 bed, 1 bath) – ZAR 650 000 (3 bed, 2 bath)
